Future Goals (or Breaking the habit of Procrastination)

I have come to realise I am not very good at keeping up to date in blogging… I think part of my problem is that I am not a very good writer and my grammar (to put it plainly) stinks.
When I started this blog I was supposed to be documenting my 2 years at school in "Costuming for Stage and Screen".  Now that school is over and I have my diploma in costuming I think I need to reassess my "goals".

Somewhere in the back of my head I think I have always wanted my own business.  Whether it was a cafe or bookstore, or now a retro clothing or costuming business, I wanted to work for myself.

But, I think my main obstacle in these endeavours is my self-modivation (or lack of in my case).  I am gung-ho at the beginning of a project, but when things start to become more difficult that enthusiasms starts to peter out, and eventually I just stop working on the project all together.

So, to challenge myself, I have to finish all my "unfinished" sewing projects before I can start any new ones.  And on top of that I have to complete at least one a month, and document what I am doing to keep myself on schedule ;)

Now that may not sound like a lot to do, but as someone who tends to procrastinate a lot, this might be a bit of a challenge.

Here is my list of unfinished projects.
- 5 summer dresses for my nieces
- White swiss dot summer dress
- Floral summer dress
- Jack Skellington costume for my little brother (Halloween deadline)
- Boy's size tweed blazer
- Silky red evening dress
- Navy blue wool winter jacket (styled after a justaucorps)
- Painted Beauty and the Beast shoes

(I am sure I have a few other projects, but I just can't remember what they are right now)

Happy sewing ;)

09/18 Update:
Almost 2 months have passed and I really haven't finished anything :-/
this is not a good sign Xp
